How to check if there's tax on an item you want to buy in the US

How to check whether an item is taxed in a store?
Although Delaware is a tax-free state, tax may be charged by the store itself if, for example, it is located in another state and automatically adds tax at the checkout stage.
To check this in advance, follow these steps:
- Add the item to the online store's cart.
- Proceed to checkout.
- Enter the Pochtoy warehouse address:

After entering these details, you will see whether the store charges tax on the selected item.
If the amount in the «TAX» field equals zero, then the purchase will indeed be completely tax-free.
If the store does indicate tax, you can:
either agree to pay and place the order as is;
or try to find another store that does not charge tax when shipping to Delaware.
What should you do if you use the «Assisted Purchase» service?
If you place an order through the «Assisted Purchase» service, we always try to select a store that does not charge tax when shipping to Delaware. However, not all stores support this – in such cases, tax may be included in the purchase amount.
