How to register on Amazon

Amazon was founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos as an online bookstore. The idea quickly caught on, and the company began expanding its product range. Today, Amazon is the largest online retailer in the world, where you can buy anything from books and electronics to clothing and household goods. Beyond retail, Amazon has developed its own logistics, cloud technologies, and streaming services.
Amazon does not currently accept Russian cards, but you can register on the site and provide our warehouse address and any foreign bank card. Follow a few simple steps and shop thousands of items on Amazon with delivery right to your door.
How to register on Amazon
1. Open the Amazon website in your browser
2. In the upper right corner of the page, hover over «Hello. Sign In Account&Lists». In the menu that appears, click the «Sign here» link
3. After that, you need to complete registration in the window that opens.
Click the “Create your Amazon account” button
4. Next, you need to enter your information
Enter your first and last name in Latin letters. We recommend entering an email address rather than a phone number, as Russian phone numbers may be blocked from receiving notifications (and it's better to choose a non-Russian domain — not mail or yandex — but an international one such as gmail). You'll also need to create a password and confirm it.
Click the Continue button
5. After that, you need to verify your email
Check your email and enter the OTP code in the empty field.
Once the code is confirmed, you'll gain access to shopping! You're now a fully registered Amazon customer. Congratulations!
Searching for and buying items on Amazon
1. You can search for items either by category (books, electronics) or by name or brand — just use the Search bar.
As an example, let's look at purchasing a great gift and the trendiest Stanley tumbler.
On the right side of the product page, there's a prominent yellow «Add to cart» button — click it and the item you like is instantly added to your cart.
So, go ahead and click the button and move on to reviewing what we're about to buy.
2. Next, check the purchase amount and color, then click the “Proceed to checkout (1 item)” button
3. Now let's set up the delivery address. Click the “Add a new delivery address” button
4. In the window that opens, you need to enter the warehouse address from your personal account in our service.
This is the very address for delivery of your purchases that you received from us. Fill out the shipping address form. It's very important to fill in all fields correctly and completely.

5. You're almost done! In the window that opens, all that's left is to enter your foreign card details.
Enter the number, cardholder's name, expiration date, and CVC code from the back of the card. At the end, click Add your card.
6. After that, click Use this payment method and you're all set! Done! Your order has been placed on Amazon, will soon be processed, and will arrive at our warehouse.
