About GAP
Gap is one of the largest American clothing brands for men and women. The group of companies includes several brands: Gap itself, as well as Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime (a multi-brand store), and Athleta. All brands share a common cart on the website.
In this review, we'll explain how to order from the Gap website. Purchases on the other sites in the group work exactly the same way.
How to register on GAP
On the main page of the website, in the top right corner, click the person icon and then click Sign in.
On the page that opens, enter your email address and click Continue.
In the window that opens, you'll need to enter your first name, last name, password, and mobile phone number (optional), then click Create account.
That's it, your account has been created. And remember that your account will be unified across all other stores in the Gap family.
Selecting items
Choose the section you're interested in; in our example, it will be Men.
Next, choose the desired category, for example, Sweats (sweatshirts)
All that's left is to select the items you want to buy. Choose the desired size and color, and if needed, check the item's Size guide (size selection recommendations). Check out the reviews of those who have already purchased the item — this will help you choose the right size.
Once you've selected the color and size, click «Add to Bag». Be sure to check the quantity to the left of the black «Add to Bag» button
By clicking the cart icon in the top right corner, you can view its contents, check that all parameters are correct, and adjust them if necessary. In the cart, you can also see the preliminary total cost of your order and specify the delivery method to our warehouse.
After checking all the information, click «Checkout»
On the page that opens, enter your full name as indicated when registering your account, then enter the address and phone number of our warehouse in Delaware (take this information from your personal account). Click Continue.
On the next page, double-check the delivery address, name, item, and purchase amount.
Below, select the delivery method and timeframe. Don't forget that on the Gap group's website, with orders over $50 you get guaranteed free delivery within the US.
Let's check once again how accurately we've selected the delivery method. If everything is correct, click «Continue» and proceed to the next step.
Next, enter your payment card details — its number, expiration date, and the CVV code from the back of the card.
When selecting the payment method, your billing address will be automatically pulled from the form you filled out at the very beginning.
If you have a promo code for a discount, you can enter it in Promos. Please note that if your order contains items from different stores of the group, you can enter several codes one by one — for example, for Gap, Old Navy, and Piperlime. The store will accept and apply all the discounts, if the items in the cart meet the promotion requirements. Now click «Save» and check all entered information one last time.
Check the order amount (in our example, the store automatically applied a promo code with a 40% discount on the entire range).
Click the Place Order button
That's all. Congratulations on placing your order! You should now receive an email notification confirming receipt of your order. And a few days later, a message notifying you that it has been shipped to us.
