New customs limits

Since January 1, 2020, packages over €200 are subject to a 15% duty on the amount above this threshold.

If the customs limit is exceeded, you pay duty only on the amount above the limit, not on the full package value.

Example

Say you order Apple AirPods Max for $549. The fixed fee is about $7, the duty about $48, and the broker fee 5% of (48+7) = $2.75. TOTAL duty: $57.75

Weight limits stay the same. You can ship up to 31 kg of goods per month duty-free.

Can I avoid paying duty?

You don't pay duty if the total value of all goods in your package is no more than 200 euros. You can send several packages a month, but don't send them at the same time, since packages that reach customs together may be counted as one.

You can also avoid duty by sending packages to different recipients: your spouse, sister, brother, friends, and so on.
